Tips for a Great Riding Lesson

* Please wear closed toe shoes (boots are best!) and jeans will be most comfortable when riding.

* All students will wear helmets.  If you have one, please bring it. If you don't have a helmet, we've got them!

* Regardless of the temperature, it's always a great idea to bring something to drink.

MEET THE HERD...

"LIBERTY"

Liberty is a 22 year old red American quarter horse mare who is our beginner lesson pony for the ranch. Liberty is the queen of the entire ranch. She has competed in rodeo queening, barrel racing, match racing, pole bending and Mounted Shooting. In the 2025 season, Liberty qualified not only for world finals in match racing but also qualified for the Mounted Shooting world finals. She won over $6,000 this past season! Liberty excels at taking students from beginner to expert levels.

"JUSTICE"

Justice is a 13 year-old Red Dunn quarter horse gelding. Justice has a chill, laid back personality. He takes care of students from beginner levels to advanced levels. Justice competes in barrel racing, pole bending, rodeo queening and reining. He is the only gelding on the whole property. Justice loves attention and treats from young riders.

"INDEPENDENCE"

Independence is a 12 year old dapple gray mare. Indy is the muscle on the ranch, second to the top only after Liberty. Independence teaches intermediate to advanced lessons for older and larger students. “Indy” specializes in barrel racing, pole bending, match racing and has recently started Mounted Shooting. She is a North Texas 2-D barrel horse and has also qualified for match racing world finals.

"FREEDOM"

Freedom is an eight year old Bay thoroughbred mare. She is the “winningest” horse at Triumph Ranch with over $250,000 in earnings on the racetrack! Freedom teaches beginner to advance riding lessons. She will be starting her barrel racing debut in Spring of ‘26. Freedom will also be having two biological foals in spring of 2027.

"REVOLUTION"

Revolution is an 11 year old American paint horse broodmare. Revolution is the sweetest broodmare you will meet… except when she’s about to give birth! And she’s a great mama. She is an “Own Daughter of Impressive Proposal.” Revolution has had one foal at the ranch (“Princess Leia”) and is due with another foal this spring. Her 2027 foal will be by “Epically Famous.”

"LEXINGTON"

Lexington is a 14-year-old AQHA/APHA palamino broodmare. Lexington originally came off of Dynasty Equine Ranch owned by Fallon Taylor. Lexington will be carrying one of Freedoms’ foals for the 2026 season.

"ANNA FAITH"

Anna Faith is a 13 year-old bay thoroughbred broodmare. Anna Faith has won over $179,000 on the racetrack! She will be carrying one of Freedom’s foals for the 2027 season.

"ELSA"

Elsa is a seven-year-old dapple gray thoroughbred broodmare. Elsa has won over $67,000 on the racetrack! Elsa teaches beginners how to ride. For the 2026 season, she will be carrying a foal by “This Flame is on Fire.”

"PHILADELPHIA"

Philadelphia is a seven-year-old bay thoroughbred broodmare. She has won over $111,000 on the racetrack! She will be caring a foal by “Feel the Flow” for the 2026 season.

"NALA"

Nala is a nine year old buckskin pony. Nala will be available for purchase late spring/early summer of 2026. As of right now in Nala‘s training, she would be suitable as a family horse. Nala has a laid-back and chill personality and is bottom of the totem pole in her herd.

"TINKERBELL"

Tinkerbell is a nine year old sorrel American Quarter horse pony who will be for sale come late spring/early summer 2026. She has a cute little personality and is a little spicy with her herd mates but will be a great step-up pony!.

"DAVY CROCKETT"

Davy Crockett is just a one of a kind donkey. David is the barn yard mascot. He loves attention and butt scratches.  He can also be hired as a drink carrier for parties with his pack saddle.

"RUGER"

Ruger is one of the original ranch kitties. While driving down Dennis Road, I spotted her sitting aside the road, so I picked her up - she’s definitely a survivor.  She now roams the ranch and has made friends with the neighbors to get extra meals.  She's quite independent and does her own thing. But she's always willing to stop for a belly scratch.

"BUSHY JR"

Bushy Junior (named after Savannah's cat "Bushmaster" back at home) showed up at the ranch with Apache as very tiny little kitties.  These two kitties are quite the pair and will be found cuddling together. If ever you see Bushy, give her some scratches because she will definitely try to get you to pet her.

"APACHE"

Apache is best friends with Bushy Jr. The pair showed up together at the ranch (along with BlackHawk) and will always be together.  Apache loves scratches and you can hold her and scratch her belly and she won't want you to stop!

"WESSON"

Wesson (along with Smith) were the original ranch cats we rescued last summer.  They were wild cats at first and didn't want loving.  But Wesson is now the most friendly cat and she will let you pet her non-stop!  Her favorite thing to do (along with Smith) is to sit atop the hay stacks and then jump up into the attic over the barn to explore.
